Our website, guides, courses and sessions provide general education about healthy homes, based on more than 40 years of building experience. They are not a substitute for advice about your particular property from a qualified professional who has inspected it.
Building rules differ between countries and regions. You are responsible for checking and following the building codes, consents and regulations where you live.
Structural, electrical, plumbing, gas and weathertightness work should be carried out by appropriately licensed or registered professionals.
Nothing we provide is medical advice. If you have health concerns, please see a doctor or health professional.
Any decisions you make about your home are your own.
You agree not to:
use the website for anything unlawful, harmful or misleading;
try to gain unauthorised access to the website, our systems or other users' accounts;
copy, scrape or resell our content, except as allowed in section 6.
We may suspend or close access for anyone who breaks these terms.
When you buy a course, you get a personal, non-transferable licence to access it for the life of the course.
Your login is for you only. Please don't share it.
We may update course content from time to time to keep it accurate and useful.
One-on-one sessions are held online by video call at the agreed time, unless we agree otherwise.
Prices. Prices are shown in your country and include GST or VAT where it applies. Payments are processed securely by Stripe.
Courses. If you are not satisfied, you can ask for a full refund within 14 days of purchase, provided you have completed less than 25% of the course.
One-on-one sessions. You can reschedule or cancel for a full refund with at least 48 hours' notice. Sessions cancelled with less notice, or missed, are not refundable. If we need to cancel, we will offer a new time or a full refund.
Your consumer rights. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986, or equivalent consumer laws in your country, such as the Australian Consumer Law or the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015. If you are in the UK or EU, you have a 14-day right to cancel online purchases; when you ask for immediate access to a digital course, you agree that this right ends once you begin accessing it.
Business purchases. If you buy for the purposes of a business, you agree that the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 does not apply, to the extent the law allows.
All content on our website and in our courses, including text, videos, images, graphics and downloadable guides, is owned by us or used with permission, and is protected by copyright. You may view, download and print it for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, share, sell or republish it without our written permission.
If you post comments or send us material, you confirm it is your own and is lawful. You allow us to use it to run and improve our services. We will not publish your name or personal details without your permission.
Our website may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and the New Zealand courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in another country, you keep any protections the law of your country gives you.
